What the Programme is
The ACTRAV-Turin Labour Education Programme is the training arm of the Bureau for Workers' Activities (ACTRAV) of the International Labour Organization (ILO). It is part of the International Training Center of the ILO based in Turin, Italy. It is the largest international labour education programme in the world.
What the Programme does
The Programme responds to the training needs of workers' organisations around the world by delivering advanced training courses, developing training materials, organizing educational projects and providing advisory services. The structure and contents of the Programme's activities are aimed at responding to the economic, social and political challenges unions face as they represent their members in a rapidly changing work world. It focuses particular attention on International Labour Standards, Freedom of Association and the ILO's Decent Work agenda. The Programme works mainly with unions in developing and emerging market countries.
